About Us

Ed started riding at the age of four and spent his childhood competing for his local pony club and later producing a young horse to Intermediate/CCI* level. In his late teens, Ed was offered a job working for Niki Ryan where he achieved a great deal. Some of these achievements include:

• Ranked in the top 100 event riders in 2009
• Three horses listed on the 2012 pathway
• Top British under 25 rider at Blenhiem Horse Trials
• 8th at Bramham Horse Trials
• Two horses placed at Gatcombe Intermediate Championships

Since 2010, together with Ben, Ed has built up a great team of owners and horses in a mixture of all levels from novice to advanced.

"I am very excited about the horses we have as I feel they are all talented in their own right and with the one to one partnership we have with each horse I feel they will excel."

Following on from a childhood of pony club and learning on his own ponies, Ben attended college where he achieved an HND in Equine Management and Business which created the foundations for SE Equestrian as we know it today. Alongside this, he also gained experience within various equine disciplines such as racing, polo and eventing. 

Although Ben enjoys the buzz of competing, his strengths lie in the day-to-day running of the business, the organisation of the diary and schedule of work for the horses. Ben enjoys producing the horses and watching their development. 

"In recent years, I have developed an interest in breeding sports horses, and as I now prefer to be home-based and Ed prefers the excitement of competition, we have found that we compliment each other perfectly." 

Lisa has been working with horses since she left school at 15, working at various yards and getting to experience all disciplines. Lisa has been at SE Equestrian since March 2023. 

"I love being a groom and getting to look after some amazing horses over the years. SE Equestrian have an amazing string of horses which I love taking care of and supporting the guys."
